Former Mourinho's assistant hints at his return to Real Madrid in place of Zidane

Former Assistant Coach Jose Mourinho confirmed that the latter should take charge of Real Madrid in the coming period in place of current coach Zinedine Zidane.

Mourinho spent three years at the Spanish club between 2010 and 2013 but has been out of work since his sacking from Manchester United last December.

Meanwhile, Zidane continues to suffer from poor results since his return to the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of last season, where he has achieved mixed results in La Liga and the Champions League.

Former Mourinho's assistant Luis Campos believes the Spanish giants should sign the Portuguese coach if he wants to return to the top of his level at the domestic as well as European level.

Real Madrid needs the best coaches. Mourinho is the right man.
Campos said in an interview with Spanish channel 6: "Real Madrid is a big club just like Mourinho when we combine two good things we will get better results, Real Madrid needs the best coach and Mourinho's career gives him the right to work with the best clubs."

The former Mourinho assistant also spoke about Kylian Mbappe after his treble against Club Brugge in the Champions League and added: "I think he will end up at Real Madrid, if he wants to be the best player in the world, he has to play for Real Madrid."
