Real Madrid still top the european club rankings. And Barcelona third.

Real Madrid continues to top the European club rankings despite coming out empty-handed last season and being eliminated from the Champions League round of 16 at the hands of Ajax.

UEFA issues the club rankings after each round of the Champions League and Europa League, and the teams are ranked according to the results of the past four seasons in addition to the current season.

It is only natural that Real Madrid is in the first place as they have won the Champions League three times in a row in the past four years, thus earning the team 124,000 points according to the UEFA standard.

Atletico Madrid finished second, ahead of Third-placed Barcelona, because Rokhi Blancos reached the Champions League final in 2016, while Barça bid farewell to the quarter-finals in three consecutive seasons, and reached last season for the semi-finals and then came out of Primonada History of Liverpool.

Liverpool, who finished eighth last season, finished eighth, scoring only 89,000 points, including 29 last season.

  3. Barcelona: 113,000 points.
