Meunier: I didn't mean to hurt Eden Hazard and I tried to contact him

A state of grief for the Belgian defender

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier confirmed that he did not mean to injure his Belgian compatriot Eden Hazard, facing his team against Real Madrid.

Hazard left the Santiago Bernabéu with an injury last Tuesday, 20 minutes before the end of the game.

The Real star will be out for at least 10 days due to an ankle problem.

"I am very sad, I tried to communicate with him after the meeting, but I couldn't," Meunier said in a press statement.

He added: "I saw some players at Real Madrid confirm the strength of the injury, I hope it is not dangerous, because Hazard is the last player I can deliberately injure."

It is noteworthy that the match ended in a positive draw 2/2, to ensure Paris qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League as the leader of group A, while Real Madrid comes in second place.
