Applying goal-line technology for the first time in the Spanish Super

The Technical Committee of Referees in Spain has decided to apply arbitration technology for the first time in the history of Spanish football, with the super games of its new tournament.

Saudi Arabia will host the Spanish Super Cup in its new form in January with the participation of four clubs: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Valencia.

Real Madrid will face Valencia, while Barcelona will face Atlético Madrid, with the winners meeting in the final of the Championship Cup.

Application of goal-line technology in The Spanish Super

Carlos Velasco Carballo, chairman of the referees' technical committee, announced that goal-line technology would be used for the first time in the history of Spanish football.

According to Mundo Deportivo, this system will be used to let know if the ball completely crosses the goal line.

Carballo said a new system will be used to explain the decisions made by the VAR to the fans at the stadium, as will the viewers on television.
