Leverkusen put Real Madrid's goal as a substitute for Kai Havertz

Big demand for the young German star

According to German media reports, Bayer Leverkusen aims to include Exequiel Palacios, star of River Plate, to make up for the expected departure of his talent Kai Havertz.

Havertz is receiving the attention of several major European clubs and reported "Bild", Wednesday that the player's agents are in contact with seven of them in recent times.

"Kicker" explained that Leverkusen officials have identified the young Argentine star as the perfect replacement once Havertz is sold to an interested person.

Palacios was close to joining Real Madrid last year, but the Royal Club backed away from completing the deal at the last meters without giving reasons.

Palacios' contract with his Argentine club runs until 2021, and River Plate is reportedly asking for 20 million euros to sell.

Leverkusen beat Lokomotiv Moscow on Tuesday with two clean goals for the Champions League and kept their hopes of qualifying for the next round.
