Madrid - Javier Tibas, president of the Primera Liga, has reacted to Real Madrid after complaining that he is angry that Barcelona will have more rest before the next Clasico.

The Clasico was scheduled to take place on October 26 in Barcelona's "Camp Nou" stronghold but was postponed due to political demonstrations in Catalonia. The clubs agreed to postpone the game until December 18.

The Spanish league tried to hold the game in early time to allow followers from the East Asian countries to follow the game, but failed attempts, to be held in the evening (8 pm Spanish time and 10 pm Mecca time).

Barcelona is expected to leave on Saturday (December 21st) for the Basque Country to face Real Sociedad, while Real Madrid will travel to the Mestalla to meet Valencia on Sunday (December 22nd), which means that Barca will have an extra day of rest, before the Clasico battle.

La Liga president responds to Real Madrid complaint:

"These things happen in all competitions, for example, if Barcelona and Real Madrid reach the final of the Spanish Super Cup, the Royal team will have an extra day of rest," Tepas said in remarks carried by Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo.

"At times we have to, because of the pressure of matches and fixtures, so everyone has to accept things because there is not always a single victim."

“At the beginning, no team wanted to postpone the Clasico, but the circumstances are our leaders, and we have to deal with the situation and adapt to it because it is imposed on us,” he concluded.
