Verratti returns to Paris St Germain before facing Real Madrid

Marco Verratti returns to Paris St Germain a few hours before Real Madrid face the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain has won the support of Italian midfielder Marco Verratti ahead of their next Champions League match against Real Madrid.

This came after a long absence of about 15 days for the Italian star after his recent injury suffered before the international suspension and was excluded because of it from the list of Italy.

PSG coach Thomas Tuchel called Verratti for the match in Madrid on Tuesday evening.

The player will travel with the team's mission this afternoon to the Spanish capital in preparation for the final practice before facing Real Madrid after about 24 hours.

Paris Saint-Germain will be without Layvin Kurzawa, who has never returned to training, and Thilo Kehrer, who is still in the qualifying stage of his injury, as well as Choupo Moting.

Paris St Germain travels to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday evening in the fifth and penultimate round of the group stage of the Champions League.

PSG top the standings with 12 points from four wins, while Real Madrid is second with seven points.
