Vinicius: Prisoner in the footsteps of Raheem Sterling at Manchester City

Learn about Vinicius's comments about his participation with Real Madrid

Real Madrid's Vinicius Júnior has confirmed that he is trying to improve and develop, as happened with Raheem Sterling at Manchester City, refusing to talk about the Clásico match.

Vinicius said in remarks after the Club Brugge match: "We are not currently thinking about the Clásico and all our goal is to beat Valencia in the next round. I'm happy to be involved again and every player wants to feel confident."

He continued: "I don't know what the situation is in Catalonia and the security measures of the Clásico. We in the dressing room are not talking about it and we deal with each game individually and currently, our goal is to focus on facing Valencia."

The Brazilian player continued: "I would like to play to help my colleagues, I think Raheem Sterling initially suffered from Manchester City in the scoring process but things improved after that. I left Brazil at an early age to look for development and to offer the best."

He concluded: "My relationship is good with Rodrygo and we are friends and happy for his success, and I am not thinking about leaving Real Madrid even on loan and I think coach Zinedine Zidane depends on me like the rest."

Vinicius joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 and did not get enough minutes to play this season under Zidane.
