Zidane explains why Bale ignored In Real Madrid match against Club Brugge

The Welsh man's suffering continues with Real Madrid

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane explained why Gareth Bale was left on the bench during the team's Champions League clash with Club Brugge.

Bale sat on the bench during the win over Espanyol in the league last Saturday, to come out Zidane to confirm that he did not train properly like the rest of the players to participate.

The player also sat as an unused substitute in front of Club Brugge in the Champions League, in a match that ended in the interest of Real Madrid 3/1.

Zidane said of his decision: "Nothing happened with Bale, I just decided to make three changes to the formation that led to his departure from the starting line-up."

He added: "We are very happy with the image that Vinícius, Luka, and Rodrygo appeared, we must work in the same way and exploit this high level."

As for Luka Jović: "He doesn't feel lost with us, he's had a good game but he hasn't played much in the last few years and needs more games."

After qualifying for the Round of 16 in the second place in the Champions League group, Real Madrid is preparing to play Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium next Sunday, before heading to Camp Nou for the Clásico against Barcelona on 18 December.
