Victim of booing whistles turns into Real Madrid wall

In the battle for the title of La Liga, Real Madrid appear to be more solid in the defensive line than their traditional rivals Barcelona and arch-neighbour Atlético Madrid, where Zinedine Zidane's team maintains the virginity of their nets, one game after another.

Tebo Courtois, the royal scoring goalkeeper, was so scathing in several matches last September that fans demanded Zinedine Zidane put him on the bench and Alphonse Areola was involved.

But the Belgian goalkeeper slowly returned to the line of brilliance that he moved away from, to keep his net clean in several la Liga matches, which contributed to the royal team's rise to the top of the standings, at the expense of Barcelona.

Courtois. A solid wall protects the Real Madrid goal:

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", Tebow Courtois has scored three goals in the last 11 games, only to be beaten by clubs Sevilla, Valencia and Real Sociedad, besides, the Belgian has received only six goals in his last 16 games in all competitions.

"Courtois has conceded one goal in the last five la Liga games (against Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabéu), and has left his side clean in 8 of 11 matches."

Courtois built a wall with the rest of his defense, which Real Madrid use to move forward with positive results despite the problems the team faces in the front line.

"Real Madrid is the only team in the five major leagues, which have managed to prevent their opponents from shooting in three games this season; Sevilla at Pizjuan Stadium, Osasuna at Santiago Bernabéu, and Valladolid in Estadio José Zorrilla," the Spanish newspaper concluded.
