The Spanish newspaper explained: "Mendy the Real Madrid player, with 4 yellow cards, and may deliberately get a fifth yellow card against Celta Viejo in the next round, so that he will miss visit Levante and be available for the Clásico."

According to the newspaper, Zinedine Zidane relies mainly on Mendy, as he preferred him in the big games this season to Marcelo, because of his strong defensive ism and his unconcealed offensive contributions.
